Cania Dam Open Day will be a free and COVID-safe family-friendly day at Lake Cania, located 30 minutes from Monto.

The event will include live entertainment, market stalls, kids’ activities including face painting and a jumping castle, giveaways and more.

Local community groups and support services will also host stalls and displays on the day, including a free community BBQ provided by the Monto Rotary Club and free tea, coffee & sweets by the Moonford Country Women’s Association.

Sunwater’s local team will provide tours of the dam on the day where you can learn how Cania Dam operates to support the region, updates on the Three Moon Creek Water Supply Scheme and how to prepare for local weather events.
