The blue-green algae hazard level at Julius Dam has increased from moderate to high due to an observed presence of surface scum, which may indicate blue-green algae. As a result, caution is recommended. Direct contact with blue-green algae or consumption of untreated water may increase the risk of skin irritations and other health problems.
