Update 7 – Wednesday 12 May 2021, 10:00am
The Burdekin Falls Dam boat ramp will reopen around 10:00am today, Wednesday 12 May 2021.
Boat operators are reminded to read and obey the signs, look for submerged and floating hazards, boat to conditions and stay away from the dam wall by at least 200 metres, as marked by the buoy line, or as signed.
Any rainfall in the catchment causing the dam’s storage level to increase may lead to the boat ramp closing again.

Update 6 – Monday 26 April 2021, 10:15am
The boat ramp at Burdekin Falls Dam is now closed until further notice.

The Burdekin Falls Dam boat ramp will reopen around 10:00am today, Wednesday 24 March 2021.

The volume of excess water spilling from Burdekin Falls Dam is decreasing. The road directly below the spillway remains closed.
If downstream of the dam, expect continued river flows and remember if it’s flooded, forget it.

As the dam is now spilling, the boat ramp and recreational facilities located near the ramp will close from 2:00pm on Wednesday 10 February 2021 until further notice.
