ADVICE from Sunwater. Kinchant Dam has exceeded its maximum operating level (87%) and is releasing excess water through the outlet channel into Sandy Creek. People near Sandy Creek, Mirani and Eton should STAY INFORMED and MONITOR CONDITIONS. Water flows from Kinchant Dam outlet commenced around 4.30am this morning. A burst of heavy rainfall in the catchment overnight cut off Antony’s Crossing around 3:45 am River flows through Sandy Creek at Homebush are currently 30,000 ML/ day and rising. Releases from Kinchant Dam will reach a maximum of 1,700 ML/ day. We will continue with our monitoring and notify the community if the situation changes.

- Do not enter floodwater, rivers or creeks.
