Cania Dam | Blue-green algae alert

Update 1 – Friday, 21 March 2025, 1:19pm

The blue-green algae hazard level at Cania Dam has increased from moderate to high due to an observed presence of surface scum, which may indicate blue-green algae. As a result, caution is recommended.  

Direct contact with blue-green algae or consumption of untreated water may increase the risk of skin irritations and other health problems. An update will be issued if conditions change.
