Warning area: Downstream of Burdekin Falls Dam 

Burdekin Falls Dam is spilling excess water into the Burdekin River. Water flows from Burdekin Falls Dam are expected to stay within the banks and beds of the river. Expect increased river flows later today. There is no immediate danger.  

What you should do 

• Decide what you will do if flooding starts.  
• Do not enter floodwater, rivers or creeks.
